Price Match Promise Terms and Conditions

How it works:

  1. If you are aware of a lower price either at the time you are ready to book with us or within 24 hours after booking with us, then the Price Match Promise may apply.

  2. Make sure the lower price is for the identical product and the other conditions listed below are met.

  3. Call one of our experienced Travel Advisors at 1-844-5NATION to have the lower price matched and to be eligible for your bonus future travel voucher.

Terms & Conditions:


Must be an exact match: The lower price must be advertised on a Canadian travel provider's website and must be for the identical product with the same booking conditions. The booking conditions are as follows: Your travel originates from the same city in Canada, itineraries must match exactly — as applicable, the same suppliers, trip length, dates, flight itinerary, hotel, room categories, meal plans, airline, ship, cabin class, rental car company, vehicle class. For flights, the itineraries must be for the same flight number, number and type of passenger(s) (Adult, Child, Infant, Senior), cabin class and booking code (booking code is determined by the fare purchased and the airline rules associated, which will be indicated as a letter (for example L, Y, U, etc.). For stand-alone product bookings (i.e. hotel room or airline ticket), the comparison must be to the same product purchased stand-alone through another Canadian travel booking website. In all cases the applicable cancellation and refund policy must be the same. You also must meet all eligibility requirements imposed on the lower price (if any), including residency, regional and age-related requirements.


Lower price must be available to the general public online: The identical product must be available to the general public and bookable online at time of booking to qualify. Also, the prices advertised on the other website must be in Canadian currency and the other website must be a Canadian travel website. The lower rate may not come from a website where you call to get the rate, or from an e-mail that you received. Excluded from the Price Match Promise are group bookings, special membership rates, corporate discounts or rates, frequent stayer rates, loyalty points, any rewards programs or special promotions made available through the supplier, blocked space bookings, at source discounts, exclusive price agreements, consolidator prices not available to the general public, flight itineraries on multiple airlines, prices obtained via auction or similar process, and prices available only by using a coupon or other promotion not offered to the general public. Also excluded from the Price Match Promise are products displayed through a website that doesn't reveal which property or accommodation type you'll be staying at until after you've booked, and pricing errors of the supplier or website operator.


New purchases only: The Price Match Promise applies to new purchases only.


Verification of Claims: All Price Match Promise requests are subject to verification by us and we will not accept any claim of a lower price that cannot be independently confirmed by us. In order for us to verify the claim, you must:

  1. If you're able to, capture screenshots from the website where you found the lower price. The screenshots must display the website address (URL) as well as the full itinerary of the product you are claiming Price Match Promise on. Please note that you must advance past the initial search results, as the price is not verified until you select the product (this page will appear prior to the purchase confirmation page, so no purchase is necessary to view these pages). The Travel Advisor you are dealing with will advise you of the email address to submit your screenshots to.

  2. Ensure that all submitted screenshots display the date and time when they were captured and must be valid at the time of booking or dated within 24 hours after the date and time of the booking confirmation you received from Travel Nation. Screenshots dated outside this timeframe will not be considered. Please retain all screenshots until your claim has been reviewed and completed.

  3. If unable to provide screen shots, you can call and provide the website address (URL) where you found the lower price to a Travel Advisor to be verified over the phone.

For approved claims where you have already purchased from us, the Price Match Promise will be provided to you in the form of a cheque reimbursement of the amount you are entitled to.


FTV conditions: Limited to one FTV will be provided per qualifying booking (booking cannot be split). Booking with a FTV must be done by phone with a Travel Advisor, during call centre hours of operation. Each FTV is valid for one year from the last day of the month of issuance (for example a FTV issued in April is valid until the last day of April in the following calendar year). We reserve the right to render any FTV void that is issued in error or where the customer is found to be ineligible to receive the FTV or has been deemed by us to be abusing the Price Match Promise program. Only one FTV voucher accepted per booking. FTVs are non-transferable and have no cash value. FTVs may not be combined with any other discount, voucher or coupon issued by travelnationcanada.com.


Travel must be completed: Travel must be completed in accordance with the booked itinerary to receive the FTV. Changed or cancelled bookings are not eligible to receive the FTV. Your FTV will be emailed to you within 4 weeks of your qualifying travel itinerary being completed.


Changes to program: We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to modify or discontinue the Price Match Promise program or to restrict its availability to any person, at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice or liability to you. No change to the Price Match Promise program will affect any FTV that has already been issued. The failure by us to enforce any provision of these Terms & Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
